2020 Porsche Macan Turbo Has 435 HP And Hits 62 MPH In 4.3 Seconds
The Porsche Macan Turbo is back for the 2020 model year following the unveiling of the updated Macan last year. Powering the previous Macan Turbo was a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engine but that engine has been replaced with a smaller 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 delivering 434 hp from 5700 rpm and 6600 rpm and 405 lb-ft (549 Nm) of torque from 1800 rpm to 5600 rpm. Grunt is transmitted to the ground through a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive. The German carmaker quotes a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time of 4.3 seconds, three tenths quicker than the old car, and a top speed of 167 mph (270 km/h) with the available Sport Chrono Package. The 2020 Macan Turbo also packs some pretty potent brakes that use the Porsche Surface Coated technology complete with a tungsten carbide coating that offers a faster response, less wear, and up to 90 per cent less brake dust than conventional cast-iron brake discs.
