Fiat’s performance brand will bring a new special version of the 124 Spider, called the Abarth 124 GT at the Geneva Motor Show. The new special version of the Italian roadster will come finished in an exclusive Alpi Orientali Grey and featuring a set of 17-inch OZ alloys that are 3kg lighter than the standard wheels. Fiat also offers a matte-black treatment for the bonnet, referencing the Abarth 124 Rally car. The main highlight however is the optional hardtop that’s made out of carbon fiber, making the Abarth 124 GT the only roadster in the market with a feature like this. The hard top weighs just 16 kg and features a lined ceiling and a rear window with a defroster. The manual soft-top is retained. Other exclusive details include the gunmetal mirror caps, with a matching front spoiler and an optional carbon fiber rear wing. Fiat keeps celebrating their partnership with Riva by launching special versions of the 500, with the latest one being called the Abarth 695 Rivale. Described as being "the most sophisticated Abarth ever", it will become available either as a coupe or a cabriolet, with both of them featuring a two-tone Riva Sera Blue and Shark Grey paintwork. The new Abarth is also adorned with an aquamarine double stripe, satin chrome finish on the door handles and satin chrome molding on the tailgate, various aesthetic elements inspired by the Riva 56 Rivale yachts and '695 Rivale' logos, joined by Brembo Brakes, Koni suspension, and 17-inch Supersport alloy wheels. Abarth is ready to present its revised 595 range which among others brings an additional five horsepower for select versions. For the 595 and 595 Turismo, the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine has been massaged to deliver an extra five hp (3.7 kW), so now you get 145 hp (108 kW) in the former and 165 hp (123 kW) in the latter. There aren’t any changes as far as torque is concerned which means the 595 continues to offer 152 pound-feet (206 newton meters) whereas the beefier 595 Turismo puts out 170 lb-ft (230 Nm). If you need more power, the 595 Competizione soldiers on with 180 hp (132 kW) and 185 lb-ft (250 Nm). Being based on the facelifted Fiat 500 series, it should not come as a surprise the 595 trio shares the same visual updates. If you've been thinking of picking up a nimble new roadster, but can't decide between the  Mazda MX-5 Miata  and its Italian counterpart the  Fiat 124 Spider , the vehicle you see here might tip the balance. It's the new Abarth 124 Spider, tuned by the Italian automaker's performance division. And it's just made its debut here on the floor of the 2016  Geneva Motor Show . The Abarth version, of course, is based on the  Fiat  model, which in turn is based on the  Mazda . But the one with the Scorpion emblem offers a number of performance upgrades. Under the hood is still a 1.4-liter  turbo  four, producing the same 184 pound-feet of torque, but in Abarth spec offers a more prodigious 170 horsepower (up from 160).  sketch depicting  Fiat’s new Tipo  Estate (name not confirmed yet) has appeared online, with some outlets portraying it as official, but we traced it back to a two-week old report from Italian daily  Corriere Della Sera . Whereas its authenticity as a Fiat-sourced teaser is questionable, what isn’t is the fact that it will make its world premiere at the  Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday , March 1, alongside the five-door hatchback version of the Tipo series.  The newspaper quoted Fiat’s EMEA region Chief Operating Officer Alfredo Altavilla as saying:  “The Geneva Motor Show will be an unprecedented event for FCA, the most significant in years.
