2017 Aston Martin AM37 Powerboat Revealed
At the recently concluded Monaco Yacht Show 2016, Aston Martin unveiled a new powerboat dubbed the AM37, born out of a collaboration between the British luxury car maker and Dutch based Quintessence Yachts. The AM37 is the first nautical creation by the two parties which ultimately marked Aston Martin’s entry into the world of power boating. The Aston Martin AM37 was conceptualized two years ago, and between now and then lkey figures from Aston Martin have enabled the design to come true. The same Aston Martin design team that worked on cars like the One-77, Vulcan and DB11 was involved with the AM37 project by providing automotive experience which was then enshrined on the final boat design by naval architect Mulder Design. With an overall length of 37-feet, the AM37 comes in two versions – the entry AM37 model that is powered a choice of two 370 hp Mercury diesel or two 430 hp Mercury petrol engines; and the AM37S with two 520 hp Mercury petrol engines.
