The 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster has just been presented prior to its public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The drop-top Vantage has been a long time coming and features a fabric top that can be lowered in just 6.7 seconds when the car is stationary or in 6.8 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h). This makes it the fastest folding automatic soft-top in the industry. It’s common for convertible versions of cars to weigh more than their coupe counterparts and it’s no different with the Vantage Roadster although it does only gain 132 lbs (60 kg) over the hardtop. This is thanks to the Z-fold mechanism design and the lightweight bracing featured throughout the car. The Aston Martin Vantage AMR has just been unveiled as the first variant in the new Vantage family to be sold with a manual transmission. Like the new Vantage we’ve all come to know and love, the Vantage AMR is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine pumping out 503 hp and and 460 lb-ft (625 Nm) of torque. This engine is mounted as low and as far back in the chassis as possible to give the British sports car a near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The big difference with the Vantage AMR and the regular model is that the former comes standard with a motorsport-inspired seven-speed manual transmission from Graziano. This gearbox features a dog-leg first gear with second to seventh gears in a traditional double H-pattern configuration. Mated to the stick shift is a limited-slip differential which funnels power to the rear wheels. Aston Martin Racing has revealed the new Vantage GT3 and GT4 race cars at Le Mans, with the Vantage GT3 to make its racing debut this weekend at the Aston Martin Racing Le Mans Festival. The British marque’s new customer racing cars are derived from the Vantage GTE, which will also participate at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. All three racing versions of the new Aston Martin Vantage are powered by the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 unit found in the road car and optimised by Aston Martin Racing. The Vantage GT3 racing car tips the scales at 1245kg (2,744lbs) dry and produces around 535hp and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque, depending on boost pressure. The race car features a steel roll cage, an Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox, an Alcon multiplate clutch, Öhlins four-way adjustable dampers and Alcon brakes. Following the unveiling of the Vantage earlier, Aston Martin Racing has taken the wraps off the new Vantage GTE. Developed alongside the road-going model, the Vantage GTE is a purpose-built race car which will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The model has been designed for the GTE class and Aston Martin Racing has already logged more than 13,000 km (8,077 miles) during its development including a successful 30-hour run at the Spanish circuit of Navarra. Aston Martin was tight-lipped about technical specifications but the car has been equipped with a front splitter, a ventilated hood, and a side-exiting exhaust system. The car also features lightweight windows, aerodynamic mirrors, and racing wheels. Other notable changes include the addition of a rear wing and a massive diffuser. Replacing a car like the previous-gen Vantage is an incredibly difficult task since that model was universally praised for its drop-dead gorgeous looks but Aston Martin has made it look easy with the breathtaking new Vantage. Everything is new on Aston Martin’s latest sportscar, from the chassis to the powertrain and from the onboard technology to the clever aero agenda. Power comes as expected from the AMG-sourced twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that here makes 503hp (510PS) and 505lb-ft (685Nm) of torque. The new generation Aston Martin Vantage is moving closer to its global premiere, which will take place on November 21. Portrayed as a "beautiful" and "untamable" beast by the British marque, the baby Aston Martin is inspired by the DB10, giving it a James Bond-esque flair, with new LED headlights and a unique rear lighting signature. The all-new Aston Martin Vantage is believed to use the same V8 powertrain as the new DB11. Developed by Mercedes-AMG and tuned in-house by Aston, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo unit produces 510PS (503hp) and 675Nm (498lb-ft) of torque in the DB11, allowing for a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.0sec and a top speed of 301km/h (187mph). However, in the case of the new Vantage, we expect the German-made lump to be slightly detuned, with the exact power figure to be revealed later. A new teaser image of the next-generation Aston Martin Vantage has surfaced online, previewing the vehicle’s updated front end and the rear of the new Vantage GTE race car. As with a previous image that showed the LED light bar stretching the width of the sports car’s rear end, this pictures depicts the Vantage under a car cover but shows off the new headlights. As for the Vantage GTE, it’s towering rear wing is in full view, as are its bespoke wing mirrors. Sources indicate that when the new Vantage launches, it will be available with the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter AMG V8 as the DB11 but may be marginally detuned from the existing 503 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque. It is possible that at a later date, the twin-turbo 5.2-liter V12 also offered in the DB11 will power range-topping variants of the new-generation Vantage. Aston Martin is gearing up to introduce the new Vantage as the company has started sending out launch invitations to the model's unveiling. Auto Express' editor-in-chief, Steve Fowler, has already received his invite and he recently posted an image of it on Twitter. While the picture doesn't reveal much, it confirms the sports car will have an LED brake light strip that spans the width of the vehicle. Aston Martin has remained tight-lipped about the model but previous spy photos have shown it will look virtually identical to images released in a patent filing back in June. The drastic styling changes may not appeal to everyone but they show the model will draw inspiration from the DB10 and Vulcan. Aston Martin has released the first official photos of the next-generation Vantage. Set to be unveiled later this year, the model looks virtually identical to the car that was shown in a patent filing back in June. While camouflage hides some of the styling details, we can see the model will have slender headlights and a unique grille which echoes the Vulcan. Moving further back, there's front fender vents, a rakish windscreen, and large wheels which are backed up by a high-performance braking system. The Vantage also has an aggressive rear end with a massive diffuser that is flanked by a dual exhaust system.
