Jaguar has introduced the facelifted 2020 XE. Looking more aggressive than its predecessor, the model has been equipped with a sportier front bumper that features larger air intakes. Designers also installed new LED headlights which have a ‘J’ blade accents. The changes are continues out back, as Jaguar installed slimmer LED taillights. The rear bumper has also been changed and it looks a tad sportier than before. Drivers looking for something more aggressive can order the R-Dynamic variant which features dark mesh accents and special wheels. The changes continue in the cabin as the model has sport seats, contrast stitching and “R-Dynamic” sill plates. The covers have just been taken off the new Jaguar XE 300 Sport, complete with the brand’s most powerful four-cylinder Ingenium engine. The model, designed to slot below the V6-powered XE S in the family, pumps out 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque from its 2.0-liter mill. Unlike the XE S which features rear-wheel drive, grunt from the four-cylinder is funneled to all four wheels, allowing the sedan to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5.4 seconds. A number of styling elements distinguish the XE 300 Sport from other variants in the range. For example, there’s dark satin trim on the wing mirrors, spoiler, and front grille surround. Additionally, the car is offered with model-exclusive 19- and 20-inch wheels. Customers can choose between Yulong White, Indus Silver, Santorini Black, and Caldera Red for the exterior paint. Following a preview last month, Jaguar has officially unveiled the XE SV Project 8. Created by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations, the XE SV Project 8 is a shot across the bow of the German establishment as it packs a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 600 PS (441 kW). The engine is connected to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission which allows the super sedan to rocket from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 200 mph (321 km/h). Those performance figures are supercar worthy and the baby Jag has the equipment to backup its position as the "pinnacle of the world’s performance sedans." Starting with the exterior, the model has been equipped with a carbon fiber front bumper, a carbon fiber hood, and an adjustable splitter. Forget the BMW M4 GTS and upcoming Mercedes-AMG C63 R, Jaguar has just taken the mid-size performance sedan to entirely new heights with the unveiling of the XE SV Project 8. Pictured here in prototype guise, the car has been born through Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division and when it reaches production, will be limited to just 300 units worldwide. As the name implies, it is the second limited-edition SVO model following the F-Type Project 7 in 2014. Beneath the aerodynamic bodywork sits Jaguar’s formidable 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine which has been upgraded to 600 PS (591 hp), making the Project 8 the most powerful road legal Jaguar ever.
