Buyers in the market for a more dynamic version of BMW’s updated 7-Series sedan will soon be able to drive the new Alpina B7 xDrive, scheduled to go on sale in Q3 of this year, priced from $141,700 in the U.S. If performance is your main concern, know that the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 engine in the 2020 B7 can deliver 600 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, allowing you to get from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, before maxing out at 205 mph (330 km). Compared to the outgoing B7, the new one is quicker to 60 mph by 0.1 seconds and faster overall by 11 mph (18 km/h). The German tuner also updated the 8-speed automatic transmission’s software, while the custom stainless steel sports exhaust system reduces both back pressure and weight.
