Official Lamborghini Patents Likely Showing Centenario Special

On Tuesday, the European patent office published these official images of an unnamed Lamborghini model, which is believed to be the so-called Centenario special.

Made to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Italian company’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, the limited-run model that has reportedly already been sold out, will appear to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1

These somewhat distorted patent images suggest that the car is based on the Lamborghini Aventador featuring a uniquely designed body.

The exotic model should be powered by the Aventador LP750-4 SV’s  6.5-liter V12, possibly tweaked to deliver more than the former’s 750PS (740hp) and 689Nm (508 lb-ft) of peak torque.

Lamborghini is no stranger lately to extremely limited-run models based on their existing cars, having introduced several specials over the past few years, such as the Aventador JSesto Elemento and the Reventon.
