Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Enlists On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Aston Martin has just launched a special edition version of the potent DBS Superleggera to celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond classic On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Fittingly named “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera” (quite a mouthful that one…), the British supercar sports a number of distinctive elements such as diamond turned forged wheels and carbon fiber splitter and aero blades, a bespoke grille and a special Olive Green paint scheme.
Inside, customers will be welcomed with pure black leather trimming accented by grey blend Alcanatara, just like the original Aston Martin DBS from 1969. There are also a number of red accents found throughout the cabin, including the glovebox, center console, and seats. Audio is provided by a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system complete with a subwoofer that has an embroidered cover.
“Creating a James Bond special edition is always an exciting challenge as we work to create a car that embodies the legend of James Bond, and the original movie car. The DBS Superleggera is a muscular car that commands attention, but the Olive Green gives it a subtlety that belies the beast beneath,” Aston Martin vice president and chief creative officer Marek Reichman said.
Production of the Aston Martin On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera will be limited to just 50 units worldwide with each starting at £300,007 ($381,556) and deliveries commencing in the fourth quarter of this year.
