This Is The All-New 2019 Hyundai Veloster!
While it will retain the first-generation model's overall shape, the all-new Hyundai Veloster is clearly trying to look slightly more aggressive and less quirky.
Ever since we saw it rocking that colorful camo back in November, we immediately noticed the new grille, the different LED DRLs and even a new bumper design with vertical air intakes.
Now, since we can look at it without anything distracting us from its design, we can back up those impressions from a few weeks ago, while adding that the running lights look a little BMW-ish.
Also, the overall shape of the headlights is a complete departure from what he saw on the old car. The new headlights are a lot smaller and indeed, less quirky than before, and the rear end looks more conventional.
Speaking of the rear, while initially we thought that the bumper would protrude a bit further out from the tailgate, that doesn't seem to be the case - although some of these images aren't exactly crystal clear. We did notice new taillight graphics though, which may or may not look like inverted shark teeth.
As for performance, Hyundai is rumored to offer the new Veloster with two turbocharged engines (1.4 and a 1.6-liter), both mated to 7-speed dual-clutch transmissions, although the 1.6-liter could also get a six-speed manual.
The 2019 Hyundai Veloster will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
