Dubbed the Corsa-e, this electrified model can offer a zero-emission driving range of 330 km (205 miles), per WLTP standards. This means that the Corsa-e can sprint from zero to 50 km/h (31 mph) in 2.8 seconds and needs 8.1 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph). Once in transit, the drive...

Restyled Skoda Superb Breaks Cover With Fresh New Tech

Image
Skoda’s most prestigious four-door saloon model, the Superb, has been thoroughly upgraded both inside and out, gaining new LED Matrix headlights, new driver assistance systems and more. The automaker is particularly proud of the headlight tech, which can prevent other road users from being dazzled even with the high-beam on at all times. This is achieved through a windscreen-mounted camera which detects oncoming traffic and shuts off individual segments within the light beam. The lighting units bear ‘Skoda Crystal Lighting’ lettering in their housings and offer different lighting modes for different driving scenarios and weather conditions – there’s an LED module for the dipped and high beam, three other LED high beam segments, a static LED cornering light, a narrow LED strip for the indicators, daytime running and position lights, and needle-like LED structures that make up the animated Coming/Leaving home function. At the rear, the units are also LEDs and feature dynamic ...

Image
The 2020 Opel/Vauxhall Corsa has surfaced online ahead of the official reveal scheduled for the Frankfurt Auto Show in September. The folks from L’Automobile Magazine posted the images on their website, providing us with the first look at the next-generation subcompact hatchback. The French magazine pulled them out shortly after, but by then, they had already spread around the web on numerous sites and forums, including Autoblog.nl. The official images reveal an evolutionary design approach for Opel’s B-segment model. The car you see here is the electric version which appears to be named Corsa-e. As with the rest of the Corsa range, the electric model shares underpinnings with the Peugeot 208 — more specifically with the e-208. All Corsa models switch to PSA’s CMP scalable architecture which already underpins the Peugeot 208 and DS3 Crossback. Thanks to the new platform, the Corsa will not only be electrified but also significantly lighter, shedding up to 108 kg (238 lbs) i...

OnePlus 7 Pro has a 90Hz screen, three cameras, and costs $669

OnePlus has announced its latest smartphone — actually, it announced two. The first is the familiar-looking OnePlus 7, which will be available later this year in select markets. But the central focus is the all-new OnePlus 7 Pro, which is available this week everywhere OnePlus phones are sold, including on T-Mobile in the US. Both new models bring the latest processor from Qualcomm, multiple camera arrays, large screens, large batteries, stereo speakers, and OnePlus’ proprietary fast-charging systems. But while the OnePlus 7 retains the exact same design as last year’s OnePlus 6T, complete with a 1080p display and “teardrop”-style notch cutout, the 7 Pro debuts a number of firsts for the company. It’s the first truly full-screen OnePlus phone without a notch or other screen cutout for a front camera, it’s the first OnePlus phone with a screen resolution higher than 1080p, and it’s the first OnePlus phone with three cameras on the back (in a wide, standard, and telephoto configurat...
