BMW Freshens Up The 6-Series With Minor Revisions

While its sedan counterpart has undergone a complete replacement, the BMW 6-Series will have to hold on just a bit longer before its successor arrives. But in the meantime, BMW has announced some minor revisions for its luxury coupe.

There's a new M Sport Package available with carbon-fiber trim that was previously available only on the M6, new color options – namely a metallic Sonic Speed Blue – and new two-tone 20-inch wheels on offer as well.

That about sums it up. There are further customization options available through the BMW Individual program, but otherwise you're looking at essentially the same vehicle that was introduced in 2011.

In the United States, BMW offers offers the 6-Series in coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe bodystyles in six-cylinder 640i or eight-cylinder 650i specs, with rear- or all-wheel drive. Look for the 2018 BMW 6-Series to debut alongside the new 5-Series and the X2 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show next month.
