Fisker Shows New Teaser Of Electric SUV That’s Coming In 2021

Fisker has released a new teaser image of the all-electric SUV it intends on launching in the second half of 2021.

We were first provided with a look at the vehicle last month, and this latest sketch was released alongside an announcement regarding the company’s manufacturing plans.

Key design details of the SUV’s front fascia include a large grille, small headlights with LED daytime running lights stretching towards the center of the SUV’s nose. Additionally, there are secondary running lights incorporated into the lower half of the fascia. This teaser also shows off the seven-spoke wheels of Fisker’s new model.

Fisker originally intended on getting back into the world of green vehicles with the launch of its EMotion luxury sedan powered by solid-state batteries. Initial plans called for this vehicle to be launched towards the end of 2019, but the car has since been pushed back to at least 2021 when it will arrive after the SUV pictured.

The company asserts that its, for now unnamed, SUV will support an 80 kWh battery pack and have 300 miles (482 km) of driving range in entry-level form. The vehicle will also get all-wheel drive, two electric motors, and an intriguing removable roof system providing “an extended open-air atmosphere” without compromising structural integrity.

Fisker will build its electric SUV in the United States and has confirmed that it is considering California, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia as possible locations for the production site.
