Citroen Updates C4 Picasso & Grand Picasso, Adds New Petrol Engines, More Tech
The time has come for the popular people carriers to receive subtle design tweaks and a general refresh in the range.
The facelifted Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso have now gained a new front end, shared by the two models for the first time, 3D-effect rear lights, new 17-inch alloy wheels and three new colors added to the available palette.
New to the range of the C4 Picasso is the 110PS 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, with the company also adding the 130PS 1.2-litre PureTech petrol with a six-speed automatic gearbox to both models.
Citroen now offers an optional two-tone roof for the five-seater C4 Picasso, available with the entire palette, with the larger seven-seater Grand Picasso gaining a pair of silver roof bars.
Customers will be able to choose from three different interior design packs: ‘Wild Blue’ Ambience for younger drivers, ‘Dune Beige’ for a more premium atmosphere and the ‘Hype Grey’ Ambience which delivers a full-on ‘business-class’ experience.
Both models now come with a long array of driver-assist electronic aids such as Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring, Active Cruise Control with Stop function, Active Safety Brake and Collision Risk Alert.
A new-generation seven-inch infotainment system incorporates DAB radio and the company’s latest 3D navigation maps which can be operated through voice recognition. The latter can also allow access to text messages and emails.
The new Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso is scheduled to go on sale in the UK market from this September, with the order books opening this June.
