2019 Chevrolet Spark Is Here With Modest Revisions

By facelifting the Spark for the 2019MY, Chevrolet has made it clear that the city car isn’t going anywhere just yet.

The mid-life refresh, which comes three years after the fourth generation was first introduced, receives new color choices, a fresh face with an updated grille and chrome surrounds, and modded taillights. Upper levels benefit from LED DRLs, which sit lower than before, and projector-style headlamps.

Offered in four flavors, the 2019 Chevrolet Spark comes with standard air conditioning, reversing camera and 10 airbags. Additionally, the manufacturer has made Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking standard, as a segment-exclusive. It joins the optional Driver Confidence Package, which features Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

The city car doesn’t lack connectivity features either, and comes equipped with an infotainment system that offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, along with limited OnStar trial and access to the MyChevrolet mobile app.

Powering the 2019 Chevrolet Spark is a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 98hp (99PS / 73kW), and is married to either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

Just like the refreshed Malibu, the Spark will go on sale in the coming months. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the extra features will probably make it a bit more expensive than the current iteration, which starts at $13,050 in base form.
