Kia SP Concept Arrives At Auto Expo To Preview Production Model
After announcing the premiere of the new Ceed for the 2018 Geneva Motor Show earlier this week, Kia has now unveiled the new SP Concept, during the Auto Expo, in New Delhi, India.
Said to be designed and engineered specifically for young Indian customers, the bold-looking study will eventually make it into production, although with a toned down styling.
“It’s still a concept, so it’s a little bit exaggerated, but the actual production car will be very close to what you see here at Auto Expo 2018“, commented the brand’s Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer.
For now, Kia is keeping all details of the new SP Concept secret. However, the bigger ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, slim taillights, and secondary lights, along with the front skid plate, grey accents, pop-out door handles, two-tone alloy wheels, and what appears to be a contrasting roof, form the character of the new SUV.
No images with the interior have been released at the time of writing, but the automaker describes it as being “sleek”, and “marrying an advanced sensual style and dynamic sensibility at its core, with a differentiated layout that enhanced convenience”.
Besides the SP Concept, Kia has various other vehicles on display at Auto Expo 2018. These include the Picanto, Rio, Stonic, Cerato, Cee’d, Soul EV, Cadenza, Stinger, Mohave, Sorento, Sportage, Grand Carnival, Niro PHEV, and Optima Hybrid.
