New Peugeot 508 Shows Its Sportier Shape Ahead Of Geneva
Several photos of the Peugeot 508 have surfaced online ahead of the car’s unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show.
Posted by Namasce and Motofilm, the images reveal the model will adopt a stylish and more upscale design.
Starting up front, there’s a familiar grille which is flanked by slender headlights and what appears to be fang-shaped LED daytime running lights. The car also has a rakish windscreen, sporty character lines and a stylish roof which gives the model a coupe-like appearance.
Out back, there’s an upright trunk with an integrated rear spoiler. The model also has slim taillights and a chromed dual exhaust system on GT variants.
Speaking of the latter, the 508 GT appears to be distinguished by a unique grille, sportier skid skirts and special alloy wheels. The model also features black mirror caps and black window trim.
The exterior styling won’t win everyone over but the cabin appears downright luxurious. Once seated behind the uniquely shaped steering wheel, drivers will find themselves surrounded by leather upholstery and wood trim. The car also has a digital instrument cluster, a high-tech infotainment system and a Focal audio system. Other notable highlights include LED ambient lighting and a distinctive dashboard with slender vents.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but the report suggests the model will be offered with 1.5- and 2.0-liter BlueHDi diesel engines as well as an assortment of petrol options. There could also be a hybrid model which produces up to 300 PS (220 kW).
