New Ferrari Supercar Teased, Will Debut On September 17

Ferrari has a new product in the pipeline, which will be officially presented on September 17 at a special event held at their headquarters in Maranello.

Teased in a special section of their official website that’s normally reserved for those who have at least one Prancing Horse in their collection, this new vehicle is codenamed the Ferrari F176, as per the name of the image.

Now, the actual teaser doesn’t reveal that much, besides the aforementioned unveiling date and ‘Icona Ferrari’ lettering, with ‘icona’ being Italian for ‘icon’. However, we could be looking at a limited run supercar based on a current product, with Motor1 claiming that it might use the 812 Superfast as a starting point.

Allegedly named the Ferrari 812 Monza, it will probably adopt a different styling on the outside and in the cabin, as well as some mechanical enhancements to emphasize its limited edition stance, if that’s indeed what it is.

Despite being just a little over a month away from its official debut, nobody outside Ferrari knows whether it actually has more power than the 812 Superfast.

The successor of the F12 Berlinetta uses a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, married to a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. The 800PS (789hp / 588kW) and 718Nm (530lb-ft) of torque are all channeled to the rear wheels. The 812 Superfast goes from rest to 100km/h (0-62mph) in just 2.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 340km/h (211mph).
