New Bugatti Divo Teaser Reveals Carbon Fiber Aero Blade
Bugatti seems to have put a lot of work into their new hypercar, the Divo, which is a few weeks away from being officially unveiled.
However, and before its debut under the California sun at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the new hypercar is still teased by the Molsheim-based manufacturer.
The latest picture released by Bugatti on social media previews the aero blade made from carbon fiber and adorned with the red, white and blue colors of the French flag. It also tells us that this example is dressed in black and contrasted by light blue accents.
Given the pace at which Bugatti drops teasers with the Divo, and the significance it has for the automaker, we wouldn’t be surprised if it will be way more than a Chiron with a different (or updated) body.
And performance wise, it will definitely smoke the ‘regular’ Chiron, although it’s hard to tell yet whether the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 engine will be updated in any way to deliver more than the existing 1,500PS (1,479hp / 1,103kW) and 1,600Nm (1,180lb-ft) of torque.
Bugatti previously described it as having a “strong design language”, with performance that will “thrill people throughout the world”.
Of course, all this exclusivity and extreme engineering comes at a steep price: €5 million (equal to $5,83 million) in France, excluding tax and optional gear.
Only 40 units of the Bugatti Divo will see the light of day, but it’s unclear yet whether they will be part of the Chiron’s 500-example production run, or if this is indeed a standalone hypercar.
