Behold The Lister LFP: The World’s Fastest SUV

See this SUV? Looks like a Jaguar F-Pace. Well it is and it isn’t.

What you’re actually looking are the first overall images of the Lister LFP. It’s based on the Jaguar, but promises performance that would put even the F-Pace SVR to shame.

The Jag tuner has yet to release all the details, but the initial information looks promising. The LFP is slated to pack 670 horsepower (500 kW) and reach a top speed in excess of 200 mph (322 km/h). Those letters, incidentally, we’re guessing stand for Lister or Lightning F-Pace.

As it is, the F-Pace SVR built by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations already packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 good for 542 horsepower (404 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm), helping it reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds before topping out at 176 mph (283 km/h). Adding another 120 hp (nearly 100 kW) will only serve to make it even faster – and elevate the tall Jag’s top end beyond those boasted by the Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga.

Fortunately early indications are that Lister is also fitting its take on the F-Pace with oversized carbon-ceramic brakes to haul it from its stratospheric terminal velocity back to a standstill.

Judging from these initial images, it also looks like Lister has fitted a huge set of wheels in which to house those brakes (and channel all that power), and a smattering of visual and aerodynamic enhancements to round out the package. The reborn Jaguar tuner of legend says it’s now taking preliminary orders, and you can expect it’ll carry a suitably high price tag. The Thunder (Lister’s take on the F-Type coupe) retails in the UK for £139,950, over £27k more than Jaguar charges for its top-of-the-line F-Type SVR, and nearly three times the price of a base F-Type.
