New Honda Sports EV Concept Heading To Tokyo Show For Premiere
Honda's appetite for new concept cars has grown, and after presenting the Urban EV in Frankfurt last month, they're now going to introduce the Sports EV during the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Details about the new study are rather scarce at this point, but the manufacturer says that it's a compact sports car that delivers "a feeling of joy and emotional unity to the drive", by combining an EV powertrain and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Accompanying the short announcement is a teaser image, which partially reveals its shape. It has a clean profile, muscular fenders, sloping roofline, and square-shaped LED taillights.
The official sketch provides a glimpse into the cabin as well, which appears to be dominated by a generously sized display, similar to the one fitted to the Urban EV Concept, with which it shares its platform as well.
Joining the new Honda Sports EV Concept at Japan's automotive event, which opens its gates for the media on October 25 and for the public two days later, is the Urban EV Concept, alongside the NeuV Concept that debuted at CES in Las Vegas back in January, plus the JDM-spec CR-V.
