Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept Unveiled Prior To Tokyo Show Debut
After previewing the new Leaf Nismo Concept yesterday, Nissan has now pulled the cover off the show car officially, ahead of its public debut set for later this month, at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
As expected, the study, which is believed to preview a full production version, comes with a more aggressive body kit, highlighted by the tweaked bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, and red accents all around.
Developed in-house by the brand's motorsports and tuning division, these updates are said to enhance its aero performance. There's also a few modest interior revisions, such as the red bits and pieces added around the air vents, on the seats, doors, and steering wheel.
Then there's the push-button start with red surround, to remind drivers that this isn’t the regular version of the zero-emission car.
Besides the visual mods, the Nissan Leaf Nismo Concept also gets a sport-tuned suspension and high-performance tires, alongside a "custom-tuned computer that delivers instant acceleration at all speeds", according to the manufacturer.
Not much else is known about the show car so far, but we should learn everything there is to know about it on October 25, when it debuts in Japan.
