Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown Opens in Lower Manhattan
Four Season’s latest New York hotel recently opened in the downtown area. Four Seasons had long planned on opening a property in downtown New York, acknowledging that it has become one of the liveliest areas of the city and that it’s no longer ‘just a business district’.
The new Four Seasons downtown New York benefits from its central location, just a few steps away from Wall Street, the new World Trade Center and the hip Soho neighborhood. The hotel is located in the luxury property ’30 Park Place’, a recently commissioned development by the prestigious Silverstein properties. The brand new skyscraper is 288 meters tall and features a further 157 private residences besides the new Four Seasons hotel.
In terms of styling the hotel went with a ‘Manhattan chic style’, which is thoroughly represented in all 189 rooms and suites. The main colors in all accommodations comprise light blue, grey and taupe. The bathrooms are complimented with an abundance of marble and come with deep soaking tubs and several other design elements. The rooms measure from 37 up to 223 square meters in size.
Also housed in New York’s brand new Four Season hotel is Wolfgang Puck’s first Manhattan restaurant. The ‘CUT by Wolfgang Puck’ has space for up to 64 guests and opened its doors last month.
Another highlight is the hotel’s spa and wellness facility. A 560 square foot fitness center is situated high up in the building and offers stunning views of the Oculus and One World Trade Center tower. There is also a 23-meter long indoor pool surrounded by lounge furniture. It is joined by an outdoor terrace where guests can relax surrounded by the sounds, atmosphere and rich architecture of Manhattan.
