It's The Final Countdown - VW To Reveal Extensively Updated Golf In November
Having reached its seventh generation in 2012, the Volkswagen Golf is bound to be significantly updated, with a facelifted version that will be unveiled next month.
The countdown has already begun for the 2017 VW Golf, which plans to continue the bestseller trend that started 42 years ago, when the Mk1 saw the light of day. During this time, the company sold a brand new Golf every 40 seconds, a number that eventually piled up to 32,590,025 total deliveries, at the end of 2015.
As for the latest interpretation of the compact car, this is expected to gain a few minor adjustments to the two bumpers, along with headlight and taillight revisions, and possibly a tweaked grille. Inside, Volkswagen will probably work on the materials, while adding some small upgrades, including a larger touchscreen and better connectivity features.
The 2017 Volkswagen Golf is also believed to adopt the next-gen adjustable dampers, further improving its cornering ability and ride comfort, along with possible engine revisions that could see updated units with more power and better fuel economy. CO2 emissions are a delicate subject when it comes to Volkswagen, but the engines are also expected to be less polluting.
