Formula E Coming To The Streets Of New York In 2017
Formula E will hit the streets of Brooklyn, New York on July 29-30 next year.
This will be the third location Formula E has raced in the United States having previously been held in Miami for the 2014-2015 season and Long Beach, California during the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons.
Next year, the New York race will host the final two rounds of the season and will lap a 1.21 mile course with the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan in the backdrop and go past areas near Pier 11 and Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
For the 2016/17 season, 12 other rounds will be held around the world, starting in Hong Kong on October 9. Other countries on the calendar include Morocco, Argentina, Mexico, Monaco, France, Germany, Belgium and Canada. The location and dates of rounds 5 and 9 have yet to be announced.
This forthcoming season has the potential to be the most exciting following confirmation of BMW's involvement with a team as well as Audi's and Jaguar's announcements of factory-backed outfits.
