Lexus UX Concept 'Leaked', Could Preview Audi Q2 Rival
With just a few weeks left until the 2016 Paris Auto Show opens its gates, new vehicles are starting to reveal their shapes in official shots, and the Lexus UX Concept is now one of them.
Carrying an edgy exterior that brings it closer to its larger siblings, the NX and RX, the study uses cameras instead of conventional side mirrors and, judging by the handles joined at the B pillar, we might be looking at a pair of rear suicide doors.
The presence of two exhaust pipes, incorporated into the rear diffuser, suggests that an internal combustion engine will be responsible for setting it in motion, but AutoWeek states that the propulsion recipe could include a combo between gasoline and electricity, forming a hybridized powertrain.
Since Toyota already trademarked the UX200, UX250 and UX250h monikers with the European Union Intellectual Property Office this summer, chances are the automaker will put it into production as a rival for the Audi Q2. Whether it will share its underpinnings with the Toyota C-HR is unknown at the time, but we'll find out more at its debut in France.
